Dumas PD/ASP launch homicide investigation after body found

The Dumas Police Department has launched a homicide investigation after responding to 128 Clayton Drive Apt G in regard to a welfare concern.

When officers arrived at the location contact was made with a female resident whom made inconsistent statements to officers. The resident gave officers consent to check her apartment where a deceased male was located.

The male was identified as 36-year-old Jason Nalls. Nalls was the boyfriend of the female resident. That female resident has not been identified by law enforcement at this time.

The female was taken into custody for questioning and the Arkansas State Police CID was contacted to investigate the incident.
