Burn ban issued for Jefferson County

Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson has issued a burn ban effective immediately.

In a statement released by his office Robinson said the ban is being issued due to dry conditions, lack of needed precipitation, and the wildfire danger level being elevated to a high level of danger.

This burn ban includes the cities of Altheimer, Humphrey, Redfield Sherrill, Pine Bluff, Wabbaseka, and White Hall.
